Bloggers Quilt Festival

I have decided to join in the fun of Bloggers Quilt Festival! I have been reading lots of blogs who are also participating and there are so many amazingly talented quilters out there. I love it! Here is my latest finish:

This is Bonnie Hunter's Pineapple Blossom pattern. I took a class in 2014 and finally finished this quilt in August. This is one of Bonnie's free patterns which you can find on her website.  As you can see I used a piece of plaid fabric for the backing. I thought I would use most of that fabric in this quilt but there is definitely enough to back another quilt, maybe two! I'd say that was a good deal because I paid $5 for it at a Habitat Restore. This quilt will probably reside on my bed this winter. I was happy to finally finish it!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. It is a beautiful quilt, Laura, full of scrappy goodness. And a pieced back too just ensures that you are a true devotee of Bonnie Hunter. She'd be so proud of you. Most of our quilts are made for others. That is why I am glad that you will get to enjoy its beauty and warmth. Thank you for joining the festival!!!
